The world of hybrid cars has a new king in the 2010 Toyota Prius. The amazing Fuel Economy is what has the largest appeal to many people.  The 2010 Toyota Prius comes equipped with a 1.8L 4-cylinder engine, which is up from the past 1.5L.Due to the increase of torque, the larger engine in the new Prius has better fuel economy. The 2010 Prius has gained some more muscle in the form of 50 extra horsepower.

Past versions will be eclipsed by the 2010 Prius, which is up by 4 MPG.The EPA rates the Prius at 50 MPG, but there are many who get more than that! The improvement in fuel economy also comes from the lightened body and powertrain. Road noise is curtailed thanks to a stiffened chassis.

Steering imput has been improved for the 2010 model year. The 2010 Prius comes stock with some features that you had to pay for on previous models such as: air, CD Stereo, power locks, and windows. Some cool new items include a rearview camera, LED headlights, Solar Panels on the sunroof, and a Satellite Navigation System.

The regenerative braking system that captures heat from braking and turns it into electricity to recharge the batteries has also been improved. The new Prius has earned a top spot in terms of safety. Some features include, seven airbags, as well as a driver knee bag, anti-lock brakes, traction and stability control, tire pressure monitors, radar cruise control, a lane-departure warning system, a rearview camera, a “Safety Connect” system, and Intelligent Parking Assist.

See the new Prius and a nice inventory of other hybrids at the Riverside County Toyota Dealer.  Or view an article at at Best New Autos on the Prius winning some awards.  The Prius has been named top green car for the past few years.  And why shouldn’t it.  The Prius gets great gas mileage which saves gas, in turn putting less strain on the environment.  Not to mention is is a low emissions vehicle.  The PRius is an honored car that does a great job of keeping its resale value.  So if you cannot afford to buy a brand new 2010 Prius, go ahead and look for a nice used model.  You will pay less, get a capable car, and even get a used car warranty if you buy a certified Toyota hybrid.
